The Tissamaharama Pradeshiya Sabha has undertaken the task of preparing the necessary basic facilities at Debarawewa National School, President’s College, Tissamaharama Maha Vidyalaya, Pannagamuwa Vidyalaya, Medawaelana Vidyalaya, and Vidyartha Vidyalaya—schools that will provide residential accommodation for students participating in the 2025 (2026) Student Skills Programme.
Work on the project to pave the front section of the Debarawewa Public Market premises—which falls under the jurisdiction of the Tissamaharama Pradeshiya Sabha—with interlocking stones commenced on July 10, 2026.
Development work on the road and bathing area near the sluice gate of the Yodha Wewa in Tissamaharama commenced on July 16, 2026.

TPS CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2025 Friendly Cricket Tournament
Tissamaharama Pradeshiya Sabha emerged as champions among 06 government institutions in the TPS CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2025 friendly cricket tournament. Held on September 21, 2025, the event was organized to coincide with the “Local Government Week – 2025” program with the aim of fostering fellowship between state institutions.
